Description
A High Density Foam Core
The K560 is a high-performance foam core designed for use in fiber composite products. This medium to high density foam core is ideal for internal filling, providing tackiness without adhesive, which allows for easy manipulation and shaping. The K560 meets latent curing requirements at medium to high temperatures, making it suitable for compression molding at 150℃.
After curing, it exhibits excellent strength and remains stable under reheating with no secondary expansion or blistering. This makes K560 particularly suitable for applications such as carbon bike frames, tennis rackets, badminton rackets, and so on. With its precise density and exceptional hardness, the K560 ensures durability and performance in demanding conditions.

Using Option 1:
Weigh and knead the white K560 clay into the desired shape. Fill it into the areas where appearance improvement is needed and compress it. Then, cure and mold it together with the prepreg. Once cooled to room temperature, demold to obtain a full-looking composite product.
Using Option 2:
Fully foam and cure the core material first. Calculate the feed weight by multiplying the mold volume by the recommended foamed density. Apply a release agent inside the mold cavity, then lay the core material as evenly as possible. Close and lock the mold, and place it in a hot press at 150°C for 20-30 minutes, depending on the size and shape of the mold. Transfer to a cooling press and cool thoroughly until the mold temperature is below 40°C. Open the mold to remove the fully cured core material.
Strongly Recommended: For first-time use, please contact our application engineer for thorough communication and guidance.
When used as a core material for prepreg products, place it in the structural positions where enhanced toughness and reinforcement are needed. The specific process parameters, hot press molding temperature and time, as well as cooling temperature and time, should be consistent with conventional prepreg products.
